Welcome

Welcome from the Executive Headteacher

It is a real privilege that I welcome you as Executive Headteacher to Kemnal Technology College. My key philosophy has always been to do the best for the students, raising aspirations and giving them the tools to be successful.

KTC has a dedicated and determined staff, who work together, firmly committed to improving the life chances of our young people.

We have approximately 600 students on roll and have the highest expectations that each and every child will achieve personal and academic success. We also support every student to contribute actively and positively to the college and the community which we serve.

My ambition for the school working alongside Ms Wride is that the school grows in the community and gives every young person it serves outstanding opportunities and results.

Stuart Smith - Executive Headteacher

Welcome from the Head of School

It is with deep pride that I am now Head of School at Kemnal Technology College. I have been at the College for 4 years as 1st Deputy Headteacher and I am excited about driving the College forward as Head of School.

I believe that everything we do is for our students. Our curriculum is student-centred and we aim for education to be growing hearts and inspiring minds. Our staff are appointed for their passion, their enthusiasm and their imagination in communicating with students to ensure that every single child in their classes is engaged, excited and challenged by the learning experience at all times.

Learning does not stop at the classroom door. We are fortunate that all departments of the College are involved in running extra-curricular clubs for students. This has a massive impact on engaging students in subjects as well as giving students the confidence to grow.

I believe in high standards and there are no exceptions, in particular with regards to behaviour. I believe in respect - this works both ways and most importantly, I believe in my students.  I believe that every child has the right to an education that is excellent and delivered by teachers who care.

My vision is to empower students so that they are able to take control of their own future and have enhanced life chances as a result of learning with us. Together with your help and support, we will ensure that every child has the education they deserve.
