Art brings beauty to the world and with it meaning to our existence. Our curriculum offers students the opportunity to combine practical skills with creative thinking to explore beyond the boundaries of standard, prescriptive and linear solutions.

With this, Art allows students to create, communicate and imagine a world that could or could not be and to articulate that which cannot be put into words. Art is the only subject which does not always have a right or wrong answer. Our curriculum recognises the wealth in this and offers opportunities to nurture confidence in decision-making, problem-solving and communication through the realisation of one's own value, ability and ownership of creation, direction and expression. Students learn key skills in the visual arts and work in as wide and broad a range of mediums and disciplines as possible, ranging from drawing and sculpture to printmaking and digital manipulation techniques.

Our Curriculum serves to:

  • Nurture confidence in decision-making, problem-solving and communication through the realisation of one's own value, ability and ownership of creativity, direction and expression.
  • Development of proficiency in visual recording.
  • Development of communication skills through a range of disciplines.
  • Promote diversity, contextual and cultural understanding
  • Offer opportunities to work in non-prescriptive frameworks.
